Today, Cherry Class visited Buckfast Abbey for a story telling extravaganza. We enjoyed listening to three of the story tellers: Isabella Necessity; Bob Hartman and Abimbola Alao. Each one taught us something new about story telling. We had lots of fun.
Cherry class enjoyed following the process of making these lovely Easter treats to help them to write their own instructions.
Class 3 and the choir enjoyed entertaining some important visitors today in the new Vickery Hall. The choir sang ‘Oh Happy Day’ while the class drummed on the instruments they have been learning this term: Samba band!
On Thursday, at the opening of the newly refurbished hall, the activity was repeated and all the visiting dignitaries made positive comments about Ipplepen’s talented children.
Today we had our assembly and the parents really enjoyed finding out about our studies. We told them about staying healthy by eating the right food and about our film week where we wrote about our favourite characters in the film: ‘Inside Out’. Cherry Class sang and performed a play created by the children. At the end, we closed with The Lord’s Prayer. Feedback was very positive. Thank you to everyone in our class for working so hard. You all deserve a special certificate for your assembly.
Here are the masks we made to finish our topic about the human body. They are Day of The Dead masks.
